Lake Stone & Mulch was formerly known as Watson’s Mulch and Stone Yard. It had been a staple in the community since 1993. In June of last year, the business was sold to David Light, Jr. The new owner is a longtime resident of the Lake Anna area. Light is also a Class A general contractor, master plumber, and gas fitting contractor who specializes in home construction and commercial plumbing. He has been in business since 1982. After leasing the warehouse from the Watsons for several years, Light purchased the property.

Lake Stone & Mulch is a landscape supply business that offers bulk materials. The items they sell the most are topsoil, compost, and mulch. Whether you are looking for decorative Shenandoah Mountain Rock or driveway aggregate, they carry a variety of stone to choose from. Lake Stone & Mulch also offers specialty products depending on the season, such as white beach sand and seasoned firewood. Grass seed and straw can also be purchased seasonally.

All products are available to homeowners and contractors alike. Lake Stone & Mulch can accommodate your needs by providing delivery of products in a volume of up to 25 cubic yards of mulch or by weight up to 20 tons of gravel. While these are reference points, they do deliver it all. If you have a smaller need, they also offer delivery in their newer 550 dump truck for smaller loads. Customers can also have their personal pickup truck or trailer loaded on the yard.
