In 2010, Jim Coleman (owner/operator of Jim’s Tree Service), his wife Jennifer, and their two young children settled at Lake Anna. They quickly fell in love with not only the communities that surround this beautiful lake, but with everything it has to offer. New friends are quickly made and kindness never falls short among the members of our communities around the lake. While settling into their residency at Lake Anna, Jim quickly realized how he could help within his community. With over 15 years of experience as a tree arborist and heavy machinery operator, he knew that the members of this community needed a reputable, reliable, and – most of all – affordable business that offered services to help homeowners enhance their views of the lake and protect their properties from hazardous situations. Jim’s Tree Service now offers a wide range of services from emergency take downs, trimming, tree pruning, stump removals, bucket truck services, landscaping maintenance, forestry bush hogging, and much more. Jim has also made himself easily available by offering 24-hour service. This is because sometimes storms bring unpleasant occurrences that block roadways or cause dangers to our homes and communities due to fallen trees. “I never enjoy getting those late-night calls because I feel for the client on the other end as a homeowner myself,” Jim explained. “Having to hear, ‘Jim, there’s a tree through my roof’ after a midnight storm has passed is never a pleasant call to take, but I’m happy to help with my services in anyway that I can, anytime of the day.” Jim takes great pride in his honest work ethic, and it reflects through his clients. He has quickly gained repeat customers and even those he likes to call friends. His demand has increased so much that he has expanded his coverage to range from Richmond to the lower portion of Maryland to help service the properties of those who do not live at Lake Anna full time.
