High Point Marina
Opened in 1989, HighPoint Marina and Lighthouse Inn, located at the 208 bridge, have been providing access to the lake and renting waterfront accommodations for 28 seasons. The marina which is owned and operated by the Wood family, has four launching ramps each with its own dock; a large waterfront store; a variety of boat storage options; and 16 waterfront motel rooms. The store is fully stocked with fishing tackle, boat supplies, water sports equipment, snacks, beverages, and much more. The motel features oversized rooms with private decks/balconies that overlook the lake. Each room comes with a free, private, boat slip. The property also has a large pavilion overlooking the water that is used by marina/motel customers as well as the many private clubs that have fishing tournaments on the lake. HighPoint is the home of one of the most popular fishing tournament series on the lake, The Friday Evening Fishing Tournaments that run every Friday from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
The property is also home to a handful of other businesses. Rob Boyer has owned and operated The Boat Shop for 20 years. A Supra and Moomba dealer for most of that time he and his staff handle the maintenance and repair of the majority of boats on the property. Dockside Reality, owned and operated by Dave Moberly has also been located on the property for 20 years. They are the largest and most noted realtors in the area. Jim Hemby’s Striper Guide Service as well as Chris McCotter’s Guide Service both use HighPoint as their headquarters. LKA Outfitters, another business run by the McCotter family, rents kayaks and has solds Lake Anna clothing and souvenirs from their shop for nine years. Bob Toler’s Mobile Service has maintained a Mercury Outboard shop on the property for nine years. TowBoat US-Lake Anna, run by Gary and Diane Jacobs, has had it’s office and tow fleet on the property for eight years. And Barry Long of B-Blues award winning BBQ has his pit fired up most weekends during the summer.

Over the past several years the marina has been renovating the property and has done extensive remodeling of its motel rooms, docks, store and other structures, however, the past year has seen the most extensive renovations to date. The marina has added 28 covered water slips, 8 of which have lifts, complete with 3’ concrete walk around docks, security cameras, and 10’ high roofs. Also during this time the property owners have completely overhauled the fueling docks. They now offer three grades of ethanol free fuel (87, 89 and 93 octane) and it’s pay at the pump, available 24 hours a day.
For nearly three decades the folks at HighPoint have been serving Lake Anna visitors and residents. We are proud and happy to make your lake days enjoyable.
