In the fall of 2019, two friends were on a road trip sharing memories of late-night drive-in movies as an inexpensive family night out. Living at Lake Anna, movie “nights out” are not easy or cost-effective. For many, the cost of travel, food, and ticket prices make it near impossible to enjoy a night out with the family. They agreed that a great addition to the Lake Anna community would be outdoor movies that are under the stars, next to the water, and at home.

Just a few short months later due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ability to gather and watch a movie in a theater was no longer an option. Marie Snyder, owner of Lake Anna Linens, immediately contacted her road trip friend Tracy Hale Clark, executive director of the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce. They discussed the unique timing and how the opportunity seemed to have presented itself. Timing is everything, and soon Fresh Air Flix (FAFX) – the mobile rental outdoor movie company – was formed!

Small outdoor gatherings with friends and family were quickly becoming the preferred method of socializing in 2020. Thus, Fresh Air Flix was finding its niche. As temperatures changed in late 2020, the addition of a mega-size screen allowed for pop-up drive-in movies for larger audiences and growth for the new company. Fresh Air Flix filled a critical need during a time of great change by offering a FLIXPERIENCE for every audience, every reason, and every season.

What is a FLIXPERIENCE?  It is simple: you provide the Flix (movie), you select the location, you determine the date, you invite the audience, and you provide the snacks.  Fresh Air Flix provides all the necessary equipment: an inflatable screen (six different sizes), a clear and bright high-definition projector, an HD sound system or FM transmission, and a video player (suitable for DVD, BlueRay, or streaming).
